**ALL SHIFTS**
Resident Care
· Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide hands-on assistance to residents with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding, respecting their dignity and promoting independence whenever possible.
· Mobility Assistance: Assist residents with mobility needs, including transferring between beds and wheelchairs, using mechanical lifts or other assistive devices safely and following proper body mechanics techniques to prevent injuries.
· Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly measure and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiratory rate, reporting any abnormalities or significant changes to the nursing staff promptly.
· Observation and Reporting: Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, mental, or emotional status to the nursing team, including signs of pain, discomfort, confusion, or other concerns that may require attention or intervention.
· Assistance with Meals: Assist residents with mealtime activities, including setting up trays, feeding those who require assistance, and providing encouragement and support to promote adequate nutrition and hydration.
· Maintaining a Safe Environment: Ensure that residents’ living areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards, helping to prevent falls, accidents, and infections. Follow infection control protocols and maintain strict hygiene practices.
· Emotional Support and Companionship: Build rapport and establish trusting relationships with residents, providing emotional support, companionship, and reassurance during times of distress or loneliness.
· Patient Transport: Escort residents to appointments, activities, or recreational outings within the facility or accompany them on external trips as required, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
· Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document care provided, including assistance with ADLs, vital signs, meal intake, and any notable, observations or incidents, following facility policies and procedures.
· Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, therapists, social workers, and dietary staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for residents.
Shared Tasks (Tasks that can be performed by all staff)
· Serving food.
· Providing and assisting impromptu activities.
· Transporting residents within the home.
· Light household duties.
· These duties include but are not limited to: vacuuming, loading and unloading the dishwasher, dusting, wiping down kitchen and bathroom counters and sinks.
· Dining assistant.
· Responding to call lights and assist as needed.
· Laundry- laundry at the household level.
· Answering the telephone.
· Answering the door.
· Providing snacks and supplements (appropriate to resident’s diet).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Base Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per year
