EHS Supervisor

We are seeking a qualified EHS Supervisor to support multiple yards within our Southern Yellow Pine network. The EHS Supervisor is responsible for maintaining compliance with EHS and Quality standards and will be based at one of our facilities located in Modoc, SC, Baconton, GA, or Goodwater, AL.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Health and Safety facility inspections, audits, and training
• Implementing Health and Safety policy, programs, and procedures
• Environmental Facility Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
• Environmental Audits: Perform audits to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure adherence to environmental standards
• Permit Applications: Manage environmental permit applications, renewals, and modifications to ensure timely submissions and approvals
• Incident Investigation: Respond to and investigate any environmental incidents, spills, or concerns, ensuring proper mitigation and corrective actions are taken
• Provides direction to other department supervisors and plant employees regarding health and safety matters
• Accurate and timely Health and Safety reporting and recordkeeping
• Occasional travel to EHS training events
• May be responsible for additional plant operations
• Participates and contributes to company safety program
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• This position requires 70% travel to locations including Modoc, SC; Baconton, GA; Goodwater, AL; and Enfield, NC

Qualifications:

• Education: (Required) High School Diploma or GED; (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Safety Science
• Experience: 5 years EHS consulting or facility EHS in a manufacturing industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency with computers (specifically Microsoft Office Products)
