Incoming Inspection

Position Summary:

The incoming inspection team is responsible for verifying all material orders that are received through the facility to ensure proper counts, paperwork, description, material identification, measurement and verifying invoicing. Learn more at www.steelobrien.com

Primary Functions:

• PMI (positive material identification) using a Niton gun
• Verify counts
• Verify invoice to packing slip and keep paper work organized
• Use of fork truck and pallet jack
• Organization of pallets and boxes
• Use of measuring devices (Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauge)
• Verify invoice to packing slip and keep paper work organized
• Lift boxes out of pallets up to (40lbs)
• Organization of pallets and boxes
• Dimensional Ra inspection
• Read blueprints

Primary Competencies:

• Basic Mathematics skills
• Strong attention to detail

Qualifications:

• Data entry/computer skills
• Use of measuring devices (Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauge)
• Organizational skills
• Teamwork
• Ability to follow directions
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Prior relevant work experience a plus a willingness to learn and adapt to changes in processes and policies, and proactively ask for clarification when needed.

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.

Salary: $18.00-$18.50/hour
