Position Summary:
The Materials & Production Scheduling Manager is responsible for management of production work orders, including related communication and follow-up. This position establishes and maintains processes to ensure excellent support of internal and external customers, and leads one or more team members.
Primary Functions:
- Manage production work orders, including related communication, follow-up, and changes
- Support ERP implementation and maintenance, adjusting processes as needed
- Review contract specifications, drawings, sales orders, and other project documents to understand requirements
- Establish processes for providing excellent internal customer support, and enabling excellent external customer support
- Assign material to job orders, oversee raw material inventory and purchase raw material for production needs
- Oversee tubing inventory related to production needs
- Monitor and expedite purchase orders related to open sales orders
- Lead production expediting and assembly staff
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple functional areas
- Effectively lead and develop team members (currently one direct report)
- Champion safety, company culture and ethic
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience
- Five or more years of experience in production planning or related areas
- Two or more years of leadership experience
- Lean Manufacturing Principles experience preferred

Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional travel to other locations, approx. 5 – 10%
Attendance Requirements: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory.

Salary Range: $85K - $105K, dependent on experience
