A well-established law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is looking to develop their practice within a collaborative environment and handle a wide range of bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
- Draft and review motions, pleadings, petitions, and related bankruptcy filings.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance on bankruptcy and restructuring issues.
- Manage cases from inception through resolution with partner supervision as needed.
- Attend hearings, depositions, creditor meetings, and court appearances.
- Communicate with clients, trustees, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Support senior attorneys in complex bankruptcy litigation and restructuring matters.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Florida Bar license required.
- 2–5 years of bankruptcy or restructuring experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of bankruptcy code, federal rules, and local rules.
- Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 – $150,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
