Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Maintenance Manager for our processing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of equipment and facilities. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. (Bilingual- Spanish is a plus.)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Manage a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement or upgrades. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conduct regular safety inspections and promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and expenditures.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to source spare parts and materials efficiently.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures or emergencies, implementing appropriate solutions to minimize impact on operations.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems as well as boiler operation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
