A respected and growing law firm in Pasadena is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 5 years of experience to join its dynamic litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to take ownership of cases, work directly with clients, and handle sophisticated litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters in state and federal courts.
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, discovery, and court filings.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
- Develop case strategy and provide practical legal advice to clients.
- Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex litigation matters.
- Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings as needed.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California Bar.
- 5 years of civil litigation experience.
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Experience independently managing cases and client relationships.
- Deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience required.
- Trial experience is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Full-time, hybrid
- Salary range: $165,000-$215,000 annually performance bonuses
