SUNY Cortland is accepting applications for a full time Human Resources Assistant. The successful candidate will support appointment processing, student employment, Human Resource analytics and reporting, and classified staff recruitment. This position reports to the Manager of Classified Staffing and Appointment; works closely and collaboratively with co-workers in the Human Resources and Payroll Office, and Student Employment Services; and works with various departments and supervisors on campus.
Required Qualifications: Associates degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, economics, mathematics or a closely related field; or a minimum of an Associates degree and experience working in Human Resources, Payroll or Accounting; and experience working with computer software programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, economics, mathematics or a closely related field; experience working in higher education; experience working in human resources.; and experience working with an automated Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
