Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:
- Receives, processes and responds to information requests from Adult Probation and Parole Agents, allied law enforcement agencies, out-of-state registry offices, courts, attorneys, and offenders.
- Responsible for providing authorized agencies with information and files on interstate compact cases.
- Responsible for requesting, opening, maintaining, and updating investigation files and other records.
- Listing all parole warrant fugitives in NCIC.
- Clearing warrants from weekend/overnight hit confirmations.
- Listing NCIC walk-aways.
- Packing the records of overnight warrants listed by dispatch.
- Clearing warrants from hit confirmations.
- Extradition coordination (flights, hotels, and vehicles for agents).
- On-call support during active extraditions.
- CCJJ paperwork for parole extradition reimbursement.
- Tracking extraditions and warrants.
- Probation paperwork for probation fugitives for CCJJ.
- Managing custody out caseload.
- Release list monitoring.
- Toll time reports.
- Compact out monitoring.
- Detecting illegal reentry.
- Tracking new charges.
- Deportation tracking.
- LSRNR as needed.
- O-track Entry.
- Searches, retrieves and researches public/private records in accordance with applicable state and federal laws governing access to these records.
- Audits and enters data into a computer system and retrieves, corrects previously entered data.
- Drafts correspondence, reports, documents and other written materials. Performs initial background and history research on individual(s) being investigated as well as screens, composes and controls sensitive data or documentation.
- Ensures that agency and state records are properly classified, processed and controlled.
- Maintains accurate records and logs.
- Testify in state or federal court. May require overnight travel.
- Professional in assisting, directing and/or corresponding via email and/or phone.
- Responsible for maintaining caseload, and meeting deadlines for both federal and state agencies. Responsible for completing monthly reports.
- Listing warrants NCIC, Packing warrants and monthly validation.
- Working with our LEB partners in scheduling extradition travel.
- TAC responsibilities.
- Tracking locations for caseload.
- Managing release lists (ensuring tracking for those paroled to custody)
- Reports for toll time and termination.
- Managing Compacts when those paroled to custody remain in another state.
- Providing backup for NCIC listing.
- Determine fugitive status.
- Detected illegal re-entries.
- Request warrants, recall warrants, and amend warrants.
- Attend parole violation hearings before the parole board.
- Track new charges in another state and/or federal level.
- CCC Waivers as needed.
- Monitor for deportation.
- Track subsequent transfers of custody.
- LS/RNR as needed.
- O-track case updates, transfers, and closing summaries.
- This is a full-time position
- Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
- Hiring officials may identify additional related skills and requirements as preferences in making hiring and promotional decisions.
- Successfully pass the Utah Bureau of Identification Proficiency test within six weeks of employment and maintain certification thereafter.

- Review and/or edit documents for accuracy and completeness while maintaining deadlines.
- Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing.
- Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in either written or electronic form.
- Follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Manage time and case loads independently.
- Complete any required training.
- Has knowledge and/or experience with Evidence-Based practices.
- Is very detail oriented and willing to learn and adapt to new ways.
- Works well under pressure.
- Has caseload management experience.
- Past law enforcement, Corrections, Interstate Compact experience.
- Has working experience in a law enforcement agency.
- Has experience in case management.
- Has experience working in the ICOTS computer program.
- Has experience with NCIC/UCJIS.
- Has experience in Warrants, extraditions processes.
- Has knowledge of the ICAOS.
- Has knowledge of O-Track, Xchange and/or UDOCA.
