Duties Description The Office of Healthcare Workforce Innovation (WINN) addresses the state’s health workforce shortage through grant and program initiatives, and policy recommendations. Our team is focused on increasing the supply of healthcare workers to meet the increasing demands across the state of New York, emphasizing the unique challenges and opportunities of servicing underserved and previously excluded communities and settings. Program Support - A data-minded student would work with our data and research team to create evaluations of ongoing programs and support a current statute through data collection and analysis.- A student interested in learning more about the grants and contracts process will offer budget and contracting support. Administrative Support - This position assists with the maintenance of the Unit’s SharePoint repository, preparation of meeting agendas and maintenance of meeting records and follow-up items. The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Documentation of Fall 2026 matriculation and enrollment in the Fall semester must be submitted with your resume. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Experience coordinating multiple concurrent tasks or projects under tight timelines• Experience researching, collecting, and analyzing information to prepare written reports, memoranda, presentations, or briefing documents• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (excel and word) • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to proofread and format technical documents• Ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and policy guidance and summarize key points clearly• Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information• Ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external partners.Preferred Majors• Accounting• Computer Science• Informatics• Economics• Public Administration• Public Health• Sociology• Bio/Statistics
