Why does the job exist?

The Senior Program Coordinator position exists to provide centralized expertise, training, troubleshooting, workflow support, and operational oversight for the organization's electronic health record systems, including PointClickCare (PCC) and Avatar.

As healthcare technology continues to expand, facilities face increasing challenges related to staff training, documentation accuracy, system optimization, regulatory compliance, and technical support. Without a dedicated resource, facilities often rely on local staff with varying levels of expertise, leading to inconsistent practices, documentation errors, workflow inefficiencies, and increased regulatory risk.

This position serves as a mobile support resource across multiple facilities, ensuring staff receive consistent training, timely technical assistance, and ongoing support. By improving system utilization and standardizing practices, the position helps strengthen survey readiness, improve documentation accuracy, enhance operational efficiency, and support positive resident outcomes.

The Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for:
Providing remote and onsite training for PointClickCare (PCC) and Avatar systems.
Supporting new employee onboarding and ongoing staff education.

Managing support tickets and tracking system issues through established processes.
