The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH), Public Health Division (PHD), Northwest Region serves Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, Torrance, McKinley, Cibola, and San Juan counties through 16 Public Health Offices and mobile outreach services.
The Public Health Division delivers essential population-based and clinical services including immunizations, Medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, family planning, breast and cervical cancer screening, harm reduction, infectious disease prevention, maternal and child health services, and other preventive health programs.
The Northwest Region Health Promotion Team functions as a strategic bridge between community priorities and public health action. Through partnership with community health councils, tribal partners, local stakeholders, and Public Health Offices, the team supports implementation of the State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP), Community Health Assessments (CHA), and Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIP).

Minimum Qualification
Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience with a public assistance program, medical, healthcare, educational, or state facility working with policies and procedures, conducting analysis/research, providing or requesting information from the general public, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management, behavioral health, and/or health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions
This position is based in the Northwest Region and operates in a hybrid environment including office, field, and community settings.
