The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties:- installs, maintains, alters, and repairs electrical wiring (underground and above ground), conduit (underground, exterior, and interior), external light fixtures and poles (parking lot, sidewalk, and building), interior light fixtures, power appliances, light machinery, electrical controls (switches, breakers, fuses, and panel boxes) i transformers, motor staiters, related switchgear and controls, outlets and all other related electrical circuits and equipment which also includes in house renovations
- performs preventive maintenance tasks as assigned
- performs electrical-related demolition and construction work on minor projects as assigned throughout the entire campus
- supervises lesser skilled workers in the absence of Electrician Master
- campus maintenance emergencies
- picking up parts and materials from vendors
- assists other trades as needed
Position-Specific Details:
Compensation: Starting rate of pay $19.67 per hour. There is also an additional $1 Longevity pay for hours worked only. Rate may be increased depending on applicants’ qualifications.

Hours of Operation: 8:00 am -4:30 pm Monday - Friday
Appointment Type: Probational
