Who We're Hiring For: Petra Labs builds the attribution and experimentation layer for AI search, turning it from a black box into a measurable growth channel companies can optimize and spend against.

Role Snapshot: Founding Engineer owning end-to-end product development across large-scale simulation systems, data infrastructure, and agentic analysis tools.

Compensation: $170k - $200k equity

What This Role Is About: Petra Labs is a 6-person team that went from zero to $1.2M ARR in roughly 100 days. You will work directly with CTO Rishi Penmetcha and founding engineer Aaron to define, build, and ship product across the full stack. The problems are genuinely unsolved, sitting at the intersection of AI search behavior, large-scale simulation, and attribution infrastructure that doesn't exist yet.

Location: SoHo, New York City. In-person.

• Team of 6. No layers between you and the founders. You will shape core product and technical decisions from day one.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Decompose ambiguous problems in AI search attribution into working systems, owning the path from undefined problem to deployed product.
• Design and build the data models, infrastructure, and large-scale simulation systems that power Petra's core platform.
• Run experiments at the frontier of AI search behavior to uncover novel insights, then ship those insights as product.
