Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid β 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Cyber Security Disaster Recovery Specialist on behalf of our client in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise disaster recovery strategies, defining recovery objectives, and ensuring resilience of critical applications and infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in business impact analysis, RTO/RPO definition, and alignment of technical recovery solutions with business continuity requirements in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct enterprise-wide application inventory and classification of critical systems
- Perform Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments for business-critical services
- Define and document Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align recovery objectives with operational needs
- Design and develop disaster recovery strategies for applications and infrastructure
- Create and maintain environment-agnostic disaster recovery and security architecture patterns
- Support development and enhancement of enterprise disaster recovery and resilience frameworks
- Ensure DR strategies align with cybersecurity best practices and organizational standards
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure
- 5 years of hands-on experience in Disaster Recovery planning and implementation
- Strong experience defining RTO and RPO for enterprise systems
- Proven expertise in conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
- Experience with enterprise application inventory and dependency mapping
- Ability to work with cross-functional technical and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large enterprise or government environments
- Familiarity with cloud, hybrid, and on-premises disaster recovery architectures
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and risk frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to design scalable and resilient enterprise recovery solutions
