About the Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for construction projects.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
- Monitor project cash flow, job cost analysis, and variance reporting.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with project managers and executives to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Supervise accounting staff and ensure timely processing of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and financial institutions.
- Support strategic planning and growth initiatives through financial modeling and analysis.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in financial management, with at least 3 years prfeferably in construction, distribution or heavy civil industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE) and ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Background
- Experience managing financial operations.
- Familiarity with DOT compliance and multi-state tax regulations.
- Candidates from reputable heavy civil or general contractors are highly regarded.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $130K–$160K (commensurate with experience).
