The Team Lead will help coordinate team activities, maintain productivity and quality standards, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Job Duties
- Lead and support warehouse employees during daily operations.
- Assign tasks and help ensure workflow and production goals are met.
- Monitor productivity, quality, attendance, and safety.
- Train and coach team members on processes and procedures.
- Assist with receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and material handling activities.
- Help maintain accurate inventory and warehouse organization.
- Communicate operational issues or concerns to management.
- Ensure employees follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with resolving workflow or employee-related issues.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Experience leading warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or logistics operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse procedures, and workplace safety practices.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, or related business systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
- Experience managing inventory accuracy, shipping operations, receiving activities, and employee performance is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, OSHA regulations, or supply chain best practices is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate leadership, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to operational excellence are well positioned for success as a Warehouse Lead.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout warehouse operations for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely work in active warehouse environments with forklifts, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
- Ability to inspect warehouse operations and respond to operational needs throughout the facility.
