Storeroom Attendant - Inventory & Material Handling
Location: Jaffrey, NH
Pay: $22 - $24 per hour
Job Type: Monday - Friday | 8 AM - 4 PM
Staffmark is seeking a reliable Storeroom Attendant to manage inventory, issue materials, and maintain organized stock at an on-site location. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, tools, parts, and equipment.
- Check shipments for damage or discrepancies and document any issues.
- Organize, label, and maintain materials on shelves, racks, or bins.
- Issue tools, parts, and materials to employees and track returns.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Update inventory records in management systems and request replenishments as needed.
- Inspect tools and equipment for wear or damage and report issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeroom environment.
- Assist with the delivery of materials or tools to work areas as needed.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 months of experience in warehousing, inventory, or material handling.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read work orders, safety instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory software preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team.
- Safety-conscious with attention to proper PPE usage.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching are required.
- Steel-toe shoes and other PPE required.
- May require warehouse equipment certification.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.
