We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mail Sorter to join our dynamic team at UPSMI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently sorting mail and packages in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as well as operate warehouse equipment.
Pay: $16 per hour
Hours: Day Shift | Start time between 5 AM - 8 AM (work until finished - 6 hour shifts) | Monday-Friday Weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages accurately and efficiently
- Utilize RF scanners to track and manage inventory within the warehouse
- Load and unload mail from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling of items
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying the accuracy of shipments
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all items are filed appropriately
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily sorting quotas and deadlines

Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in mail sorting or distribution
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate sorting and filing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role (up to 50 pounds)
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving protocols is beneficial
