Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.
- Basic math skills for measurements and quality checks.
Experience Requirements
- No previous braiding machine experience required. Paid training provided.
- Manufacturing, production, machine operator, assembly, or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment is beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to learn machine operation, quality standards, and production processes.
- Dependable team player with strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime or varying shifts as needed.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle small-gauge wire, bobbins, and production materials.
- Visual ability to inspect cable braid patterns, wire placement, and product quality.
- Comfortable working around moving machinery and moderate noise levels while following PPE requirements.
Job Duties
- Operate braid machines used to apply metallic braid to heat trace cable.
- Load carriers and bobbins with wire materials, including tinned copper and stainless steel.
- Assist with machine setup and changeovers under supervision.
- Monitor machine performance and braid patterns during production runs.
- Inspect finished cable for defects, gaps, loose wires, and uneven coverage.
- Measure cable dimensions using basic measuring tools and record production data.
- Complete production paperwork accurately and report equipment or quality concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety standards.
