What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Staffmark Group?
Location : Chattanooga, TN
Shift 8am-4:30pm
Pay: 28.66 per hour
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Munsell Color Testing ability preferred
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Inspection experience
- Minimum 2 years of Lab Technician experience
- Strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes
- Leadership skills with a detail-oriented and quality-focused mindset
- Experience supporting process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hour shifts
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and laboratory environment
- Steel-toe footwear required
- Must wear black or dark gray work pants and follow facility dress code standards
- Overtime availability required as needed
- Perform quality inspections and laboratory testing on parts and materials
- Support production teams with visual quality assessments and defect evaluations
- Assist Engineering and Quality departments with product trials and testing activities
- Analyze test results and document findings accurately
- Help maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring consistent product quality
- Participate in Continuous Improvement programs, process enhancements, and quality initiatives
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing performance
