Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of inventory control, warehouse inventory systems, or order management system experience in a high-volume distribution environment
- Previous forklift or material handling equipment experience preferred
- Basic clerical, data entry, and computer skills required
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and bin location variances
- Research problem orders, receipts, and inventory issues
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and inventory records
- Enter and update inventory data within the warehouse management system
- Perform cycle counts and product audits
- Ensure quality assurance standards and procedures are followed
- Stage and organize materials in designated warehouse locations
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Maintain inventory and bin accuracy to minimize shrinkage
- Complete required documentation and system transactions
- Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
- Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
- Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Inventory Control Associate.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
- Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
