Job Duties
- Operating a Sit-down forklift to move goods between storage, production, and shipping areas.
- Load and unload inventory from trailers and containers.
- Conduct pre-op inspections on equipment, report damages, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Secure, wrap, and stack pallets safely to ensure stability.
Requirements
- 1 year of previous forklift experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
- Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
- Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 30 pounds when required.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
