CNC Machinist Requirements: Built for Precision
- Proven CNC milling machinist experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in machining steel and aluminum materials
- Ability to edit CNC programs and offsets at the machine control
- Strong understanding of precision machining and tight tolerances
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, and measuring instruments
- Blueprint reading experience preferred
- Must have personal machine tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Your Everyday Hustle
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines with indexable heads
- Machine steel and aluminum components to customer specifications
- Maintain tight tolerances ranging from 0.005" to 0.0002"
- Create and edit CNC programs directly at the machine control
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and engineering drawings
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring tools
- Maintain personal machine tooling required for production
- Assist with material movement using forklifts or overhead cranes when needed
- Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain an organized work area
