Pay Rate
- $17.75 - $20 / hour
Job Summary
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for inspections, internal audits, investigations, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position plays a key role in ensuring production line quality and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements through the collection, analysis, and monitoring of production data. The Quality Coordinator will also participate in cross-training programs to support schedule flexibility and address personnel shortages.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform outbound product inspections and inspections of the manufacturing process to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Monitor production lines, identify and resolve quality concerns, and follow up on outcomes.
- Ensure products are processed in accordance with customer specifications and guidelines.
- Identify issues and provide actionable suggestions to reduce errors and improve quality.
- Investigate quality issues, report findings to the Quality Manager or Supervisor, and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Line Leaders, keeping them informed of quality concerns during line checks and finished goods inspections.
- Accurately complete inspection reports with detailed documentation.
- Provide product samples as specified by customer requirements.
- Conduct final inspection activities and issue certificates of compliance as needed for specific customers.
- Track and maintain quality metrics.
- Collect and review production data to recommend process improvements.
- Submit weekly/monthly quality reports to validate customer service levels.
- Perform internal audits and quality investigations.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement programs.
- Monitor and report error trends by product type and employee performance.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of quality metrics and documentation.
- Foster positive relationships across departments with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to Safety and 5S guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; effective decision making; positive attitude; collaborative team player
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality control or similar quality assurance activities.
