Top Food Manufacturer and packaging company located near Wheeling, IL - Vernon Hills, IL area is currently seeking experienced Warehouse Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues and perform maintenance fixtures on various warehouse machinery using warehouse power tools. This position is a potential DIRECT HIRE opportunity, based on maintenance tech experience, references and qualified skills to perform essential job duties. We welcome all entry level maintenance technicians to apply. Company is seeking full-time, maintenance mechanics with electrical, preventative maintenance, PLC and troubleshooting experience. Strong Mechanical Aptitude and knowledge of equipment functionsHourly Schedule: 1st Shift Morning Schedule, overtime hours only approved by supervisors of department.Hourly Pay: $30 per hour (payrate based on experience level between entry to expert)Skills and Requirements:Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Knowledge of food gmps/ppe policyBlueprint reading3-5 years of experience in maintenance techStrong mechanical knowledge and aptitudeProficiency in English (both written and verbal)Experience with manufacturing plants and electrical repair preferredPLC Hardware and Software experienceElectrical panel and drive componentsExperience with Gear trains, shafts/journals, pulleys, bushings, and bearingsJob Summary: Maintenance Mechanic position requires professional level preventative machine mechanical repair experience, Heavy lifting, occasional fork-lift operation, electrical and mechanical work with various tools. Working conditions can be physically and mentally challenging but is NOT limited to the following:Perform highly diversified maintenance repairs on manufacturing machinery, electrical repairs, compressors systems/or other warehouse machineryGeneral Maintenance Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical equipment, voltages, electrical wiring.Repair or replace defective components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipmentFabricate parts as needed to complete repairRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and logic controllerMaintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts usedAssist in developing preventive maintenance schedulesEnsure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environmentWork on new installations of all powered industrial equipment/Electrical and non-electrical repairs and troubleshooting throughout facilityPerform all work as assigned while adhering to established standards associated with workmanship and safety, OSHA, GMPs ect.Responsible for the safe and dependable operating condition of all equipment in the facility.Dismantling and re-assembly of equipment to perform repairs, cleaningPerforms all work safely and efficiently per safety standardsAll candidates must interview and submit detailed resume showing their prior experience to meet company demands.
