Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will use their skillset in the installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of ALL ERMCO manufacturing equipment while considering the values and goals of ERMCO.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems (motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pneumatics).
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and basic installation on circuits up to 480V, including motors, sensors, and control panels.
- Assist with PLC troubleshooting (fault diagnosis, I/O verification, resetting programs) — programming knowledge a plus but not required.
- Diagnose and correct issues related to VFDs, relays, and safety circuits.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
- Document maintenance work performed in logs or CMMS.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Work scheduled weekends or call-in shifts with a minimum 24-hour advance notice when production required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).
- 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Mechanical repair and electrical troubleshooting skills required.
- Experience working safely with 120V–480V circuits.
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Comfortable using multimeters, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in industrial environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility for weekend work when required.
