What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Sewing Trainer position at Staffinders, Inc.?
Position Overview:* Responsible for providing training to TSS operator trainees. Essential Job Functions:*
- Program should produce operators NO LESS than 80% after 12 weeks after transferred form the sewing school
- Help educate current TSS operators and supervisors on product/design changes
- Should look for opportunities to improve efficiencies of lesser teams
- Refer to and follow the TSS Training Guideines for the first two weeks of training.
- Train TSS operators trainees to work in specific zones and follow single piece flow.
- Train TSS operator trainees, within designated zones, to produce specified product to required specifications using proper methods; i.e., gauging or other tools.
- Train TSS operator trainees to maintain equipment as required.
- Make sure TSS operator trainees utilize equipment safely and utilize methods to insure safe operation.
- Help TSS operator trainees to properly set equipment to specific requirements.
- Maintain any required documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Make sure TSS operator trainees adhere to company quality standards and procedures.
- Make sure TSS Operator trainees know how to use the lights to alert support personnel of machine difficulties, supply needs, etc.
- Teach TSS operator trainees to work in courteous cooperation with other cluster members.
- Teach the “bumping” technique as appropriate within the cluster
Hours and Pay:
- Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm
- $18.50 - $20/hr
Training: Necessary training will be provided on the job.Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred 3 years in a manufacturing environment preferred
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
