This role is remote/on-the-road and ideally based in Missouri or Kansas, with a strong preference for candidates located near Kansas City due to territory alignment. This position requires up to 75% travel across the Central U.S. (Midwest, Central, and Mountain regions), including a mix of day trips, extended travel, and trade shows.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers within the On-Highway territory, managing and growing key accounts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with fleets, OEMs, and trucking customers through frequent travel and on-site visits
  • Execute a sales strategy focused on approximately 75% account management (farming) and 25% new business development
  • Provide technical product support, including training customers on product usage and basic troubleshooting
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support customer needs and drive sales growth
  • Plan and implement sales strategies to expand market share within the region


What We Need From You

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 5–7 years of experience in a sales, technical sales, or customer-facing engineering role
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude, including experience with tools and basic troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and engage with customers at all levels
  • Experience working within manufacturing, diesel, transportation, or similar industries
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and drive sales growth in a territory-based role


All-Star Skillset

  • The ideal candidate will also have any or all of the following preferred experience and skills:
  • Background as a diesel technician, mechanic, or engineer turned salesperson
  • Experience supporting OEMs, aftermarket, or fleet customers
  • Familiarity with filtration products or similar mechanical systems
  • Experience in quality, field service, or technical support roles
  • Prior experience with CRM systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment with a mix of blue- and white-collar collaboration
