StaffBright is looking to hire an experienced and hands-on IT Plant Manager to join our client’s growing manufacturing operation in Rochester, MI. This role is critical in supporting a large-scale automotive facility by leading plant-level IT operations, supporting highly automated production systems, and ensuring reliable infrastructure performance throughout a major launch initiative.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage day-to-day IT operations within a highly automated manufacturing plant, supporting both plant operations and end-user technology needs.
- Lead and support plant-level IT infrastructure, including manufacturing systems, networking, servers, storage, backup and disaster recovery technologies, and end-user hardware.
- Oversee IT budgets, including capital expenditures and operational spending, while participating in planning for future hardware, software, and infrastructure investments.
- Support manufacturing production systems, including build-to-broadcast environments, MES systems, RF devices, plant printing systems, and workstation provisioning.
- Manage third-party vendors and maintenance providers supporting hardware, software, telecommunications, and network services.
- Support the launch of a new manufacturing facility, ensuring systems, infrastructure, and support processes are scalable and production-ready ahead of launch timelines.
What We Need From You:
- 5 years of experience in an IT Manager role within a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Strong experience supporting manufacturing production systems and plant-floor technologies in highly automated environments.
- Hands-on experience with build-to-broadcast environments, MES systems, SQL Server, VMware, networking, servers, storage systems, and backup/disaster recovery technologies.
- Experience managing IT budgets, including both CapEx and operational spending.
- Strong understanding of plant-level technologies, including PCs, RF systems, and printing systems within a manufacturing environment.
