This is a fully onsite role near Kokomo, IN with relocation assistance available. This opportunity is full-time with strong long-term growth potential.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control activities within a multi-shift manufacturing environment
- Oversee and develop a team of quality professionals, including engineers, technicians, and specialists
- Drive internal and external audit readiness, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements
- Partner with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain strong relationships
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes including metal components, heat treatment, and finishing
What We Need From You
To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8–10 years of quality experience within automotive manufacturing, specifically working with metal components
- Strong background in metallurgy, coatings, or related material sciences within a production environment
- Proven experience leading audits, corrective actions, and maintaining compliance with IATF 16949 standards
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing quality teams
- Experience working directly with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers, including customer-specific requirements and portals
All-Star Skillset
The ideal candidate will also have any or all of the following preferred experience and skills:
- ASQ certification (CQE, CQM, CRE, or similar)
- Experience with supplier quality programs and sustainability initiatives
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to root cause analysis
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment with multiple priorities
- Experience supporting 24/7 or multi-shift plant operations

Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
