This is a fully onsite position located in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This opportunity is full-time and direct hire. The shift is 5am to 5pm (12 hours) Friday through Sunday (36 hours a week but you will be paid for 40.)
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and reliability.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, mechanical, and software-related issues on robotic systems and assembly equipment.
- Install, calibrate, test, and commission new machinery, automation equipment, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, complete repairs, and verify proper functionality through testing and calibration activities.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, document equipment performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
What We Need From You
To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance technician experience within an automated manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Experience working on automated equipment, robotics, assembly machinery, or similar production equipment.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance activities.
All-Star Skillset
The ideal candidate will also have any or all of the following preferred experience and skills:
- Experience within a metal stamping manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with robotic systems, vision systems, and industrial automation controls.
- Experience commissioning new equipment and supporting automation upgrades.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and preventive maintenance programs.
