Accounting Manager

One of StaffBright's largest clients is seeking a motivated Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to oversee accounting operations for a business unit, lead a small team, and contribute to the development of corporate accounting policies and procedures.

About the Role

• Manage and mentor a team including a Senior Accountant and AP/AR Supervisor (with indirect reports).
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and initiatives.
• Analyze complex accounting issues and transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, and business combinations.
• Support financial reporting by preparing and reviewing financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures.
• Provide technical accounting guidance for significant transactions such as debt refinancing and equity-based compensation.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of internal controls, including oversight of internal audit functions.
• Partner with external auditors during audits, providing documentation and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required). CPA strongly preferred.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Hands-on experience with AP/AR, reporting, balance sheet oversight, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• A background in manufacturing or automotive industries is required. Candidates from real estate, non-profit, or government sectors will not be considered.
• Public accounting experience is a plus, especially with manufacturing clients.
