Overview
Seeking a highly experienced Enterprise IT Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale solutions with a focus on artificial intelligence, cloud architecture, and innovation. This role will drive strategy, architecture, and delivery across mission-critical systems and complex environments.
This is a fully onsite position with Part Time hours limited to 20 hours a week
Responsibilities
- Provide architectural leadership for enterprise solutions with a focus on AI and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define and deliver scalable solutions
- Lead architecture across the full system development lifecycle from concept through deployment
- Define business and technical requirements and translate them into solution designs
- Develop enterprise architecture artifacts including reference architectures and design patterns
- Evaluate technologies and recommend solutions aligned with organizational strategy
- Support hybrid environments including on-prem, cloud, and multi-datacenter architectures
- Lead and guide cross-functional teams including architects, developers, analysts, and testers
- Facilitate communication and alignment across stakeholders with competing priorities
- Develop enterprise standards, policies, and governance frameworks
- Provide presentations, documentation, and reporting to both technical and executive audiences
- Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and ongoing program activities
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in artificial intelligence and enterprise-level application of AI
- 10 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role
- Extensive experience designing distributed, enterprise-level systems for mission-critical environments
- Experience across the full system development lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment)
- Strong system analysis, problem-solving, and architectural design skills
- Experience leading technical teams on small to large-scale initiatives
- Experience working in both public and private sector environments
- Experience developing technical requirements for large initiatives or RFPs
- Strong experience with cloud and virtualization technologies
- Experience supporting multi-datacenter environments including on-prem, co-location, hosted, SaaS, and PaaS solutions
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage executive, business, and technical stakeholders
- Ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience developing enterprise policies and governance frameworks
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Identity Management and Azure security best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within large, complex institutional environments
- Experience with multiple cloud platforms and vendors
- Experience defining cloud migration strategies and hosting requirements
- Experience with access control models and security architecture
- Microsoft Azure certifications
- Prior IT management experience
