Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Talend Integration Developer to support enterprise data integration initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data integration solutions, APIs, and cloud-based services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Talend, Java, and modern integration technologies, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and support production environments.
This position requires close collaboration with technical teams, infrastructure groups, and stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and high-quality data exchanges across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Talend ETL and ESB integrations
- Administer Talend environments including TMC, Remote Engines, and Runtimes
- Build and support SOAP and REST APIs, including schema design and testing
- Develop and optimize SQL and Oracle database components
- Troubleshoot integration failures, connectivity issues, and performance problems
- Support deployments, release management, and production validation activities
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams on networking, firewall rules, and access
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and QA validation
- Monitor integration processes and resolve runtime issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs and runbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing system enhancements
Required Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Talend ETL and ESB development (design, build, maintenance)
- Experience with Talend Administration (TMC, Remote Engines, Runtimes, environment management)
- Experience with certificate installation and renewal for integrations and endpoints
- Experience working with network teams on firewall rules, ports, and connectivity
- Strong troubleshooting skills for integration failures, runtime issues, and connectivity problems
- Experience with cloud services (Azure preferred) for integration, deployment, and monitoring
- Strong Java development experience for integration and API components
- Expertise in SOAP and REST API development and debugging
- Strong SQL and Oracle database experience
- Experience with XML, XSLT, XSD, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, CSV, FTP/SFTP
- Experience with release management processes and ticketing systems
- Experience supporting staging and production environments
- Strong unit testing, integration testing, and QA validation experience
- Strong root-cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Experience creating technical documentation (design, deployment, operations)
- Ability to collaborate with infrastructure teams and stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with streaming or messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka)
- Strong understanding of ETL, ELT, and ESB integration patterns
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
- Advanced experience with cloud-based integration and orchestration tools
- Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, TLS, encryption, PGP)
- Experience with templating frameworks (Freemarker, Apache Velocity)
- Strong Linux/Unix scripting and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
- Experience supporting public sector or large enterprise systems
- Ability to lead technical design, testing, and documentation efforts
