Job Description
Seeking a highly experienced Data Visualization and Business Intelligence professional to support a pension-focused enterprise analytics environment. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining advanced reporting and dashboard solutions using modern BI tools, with an emphasis on delivering clear, data-driven insights that support business operations and decision-making.
The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to interpret requirements, design scalable data models, and deliver high-quality reporting solutions. This position requires strong technical expertise in Power BI and related Microsoft technologies, as well as the ability to translate complex data into meaningful visualizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Business Intelligence reports and dashboards based on business requirements
- Build and maintain BI semantic layers, including data modeling, hierarchies, measures, and data definitions
- Interpret business needs and translate them into technical reporting and visualization solutions
- Develop complex SQL queries and integrate data from multiple sources
- Support modernization of BI platforms, including automation and data integration efforts
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing reporting solutions
- Administer BI environments, including user access, deployments, and promotion of changes across environments
- Document technical specifications, processes, and best practices
- Provide ongoing knowledge transfer, including documentation, training sessions, and collaboration with internal teams
- Support enterprise reporting initiatives related to pension, financial, and operational data
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of experience developing reports and resolving issues using Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI
- At least four years of experience performing Power BI administration, including environment management, access control, and deployment processes
- At least three years of experience in data modeling and semantic layer development, including dimensions, hierarchies, measures, and data security rules
- Strong experience with SQL and data integration techniques
- Experience interpreting business requirements and delivering technical BI solutions
- Understanding of system development lifecycle, change management, and project delivery practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in pension, health insurance, finance, or public sector environments
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting systems and production BI environments
- Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps
- Strong data visualization and data storytelling skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
