Tool and Die Manager

You’ll lead a skilled Tool & Die team, solve real production problems, improve tooling performance, and help keep high-volume stamping and robotic welding operations moving.
The Assignment
Take ownership of the plant’s Tool & Die operation.
Lead the team. Set priorities. Develop people. Keep tooling reliable. Reduce downtime. Work directly with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality when problems need to be solved.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Tool & Die team leadership, development, and daily execution
- Troubleshooting and repair of production dies and tooling
- Preventive maintenance and tooling reliability
- Tandem, Transfer, and Progressive Dies
- Jigs, fixtures, tooling modifications, and engineering changes
- New program launches and die changes
- Dimensional and tooling-related production issues
- Continuous improvement, cost reduction, and downtime reduction
- Supporting audits and ISO/IATF requirements
- Keeping tooling ready for a demanding production environment
The Background
- USDOL Tool & Die Journeyman Card or 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong Tool & Die experience in a production stamping environment
- Experience troubleshooting Tandem, Transfer, and Progressive Dies
- Previous leadership or team-lead experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and tooling prints
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Your own basic precision and hand tools
- Flexibility to support the operation when needed
