Assistant Controller

We’re looking for an Assistant Controller who wants to be close to the business, work directly with plant leadership, and take on meaningful responsibility in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a role for someone who wants long-term stability, strong operational exposure, and the opportunity to continue growing toward broader plant finance leadership.
Responsibilties:
- Support the Plant Controller with all plant accounting and financial activities
- Assist with month-end, quarterly, and year-end close
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and variance analysis
- Analyze labor, material, overhead, scrap, and manufacturing costs
- Support standard costing, inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory
- Monitor plant spending and capital expenditures
- Partner with Operations to explain financial performance and identify areas for improvement
- Support internal controls, audits, and corporate reporting requirements
- Improve reporting accuracy, financial visibility, and plant-level decision support
What We Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Manufacturing accounting or plant finance experience
- Strong cost accounting background
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and variance analysis
- Strong Excel and ERP system skills
- Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working directly with Operations and plant leadership
- Career-minded, dependable, and interested in growing into greater responsibility

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
