Wound Care Nurse - RN - Registered Nurse

A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1964. We are seeking a Wound Care Nurse - RN - Registered Nurse.
- $38 to 40 per hour based on circumstances including license, skills, qualifications, degrees and certifications, prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
Wound Care Nurse - Registered Nurse - RN Qualifications:
- Current licensure in the State of IL as a Registered Nurse - RN.
- Minimum of 2 years of wound care experience in a nursing home.
Wound Care Nurse - Registered Nurse - RN - Registered Nurse Job Summary:
- Ensure completion of skin assessments assigned to charge nurses.
- Review of admission skin assessments.
- Inform necessary departments of new or worsening skin issues.
- Ensure necessary referrals are made.
- Rounding with wound care specialist.
- Ensure high risk residents have interventions/preventative measures in place.
- Correspond with DME suppliers to ensure equipment and supplies are ordered and delivered and pick-up timely.
- Ensure that acute care plans are completed according to policy.
- Ensure, assess and monitor appropriate treatments are in place.
