Position Summary
St. Marys Galaxy Food Center is seeking a dependable and friendly Deli Associate to join our deli department. The Deli Associate will provide excellent customer service while preparing and serving deli foods, maintaining product quality, and keeping the department clean and organized.
Essential Duties
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
- Prepare and serve deli meats, cheeses, sandwiches, salads, and other food items.
- Slice meats and cheeses according to customer requests.
- Package, label, price, and display products.
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas and equipment.
- Follow proper food-safety and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory.
- Prepare hot and cold food items as needed.
- Operate deli equipment safely and properly.
- Assist with stocking and maintaining an attractive deli display.
- Handle cash register transactions when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous deli, food-service, or grocery experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer-service skills.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Ability to work well with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to follow food-safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift products as needed.
Schedule
Full-Time
Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
