Position Summary
St. Marys Galaxy Food Center is seeking a dependable and motivated Meat Cutter to join our meat department. The Meat Cutter will be responsible for cutting, trimming, packaging, displaying, and maintaining quality meat products while providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, and other meat products.
- Operate meat-cutting equipment safely and properly.
- Package, label, price, and display meat products.
- Maintain department cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Rotate products and monitor freshness and quality.
- Assist customers with meat selections and special requests.
- Maintain proper inventory and minimize product waste.
- Follow all food-safety and workplace-safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Meat Department Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous meat-cutting or grocery experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate meat-cutting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move meat products as needed.
Schedule
Full-Time
Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Compensation
Pay: To be determined based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour
