Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of deli foods, including sandwiches, salads, and specialty items, following safety and quality standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions, and upselling items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling, sanitation practices, and proper bussing of tables or counters
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
- Ensure food safety standards are met by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation regulations
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies, rotating products, and monitoring freshness of deli items
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for seamless transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell and promote products confidently
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy setting
