Floor Technician – Full-Time | Long-Term Care Facility
Pay: $15.67 per hour
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, with occasional evening/night projects; every other weekend and holiday required

St. Luke Lutheran Community – North Canton is hiring a Floor Technician to support the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our facility. In this important role, you’ll use your skills and attention to detail to maintain all types of floor surfaces and contribute to an environment that supports health and comfort for residents, staff, and visitors.
What You’ll Do:
Perform daily floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
Clean and restore carpets using industrial carpet-cleaning equipment
Buff and polish hard surface floors to maintain shine and durability
Inspect flooring for wear or damage and report issues as needed
Clean walls, ceilings, fixtures, ledges, windows, and HVAC units
Handle trash and recycling disposal
Assist with laundry transport between nursing units
Support occasional light maintenance (e.g., changing bulbs, hanging wall items, snow removal)
Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and ready to use
Follow all safety and infection control protocols
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 1 year of experience in floor care or commercial cleaning
Familiarity with carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and stripping/waxing equipment
Detail-oriented and proactive, with good time management
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Professional communication and a team-player attitude
Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing throughout the shift
