What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Staff position at St. Croix Casino?
JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the Retail Staff, it will be your responsibility to assist and serve the guests and to protect the retail assets of the Casino.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. One year of guest service experience, and cash register experience preferred.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to stand for an eight (8) hour shift or more. Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language. Must be able to follow written and oral directions, and be able to work independently. Must be capable of lifting, bending, and carrying loads of up to 50 pounds.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Organize and stock, replenish front stock and help merchandise store. Greet guests as they enter smoke shop. Offer help and provide direct assistance to guests, answer guests questions and concerns. Process purchases, take payments and give change when needed. Handle guest complaints in a calm professional manner. Help organize back stock and perform inventory counts. Maintain clean and tidy work and retail space. Take direction from and report to assigned supervisor. To accurately account for products sold. To be able to Z out and X out register at the end of assigned shift and be accountable for all monies. Interact with guests in a positive manner to assure the best possible service.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory training. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
