What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Executive Host/Hostess (FT) position at St. Croix Casino?
JOB SUMMARY: Provide friendly and excellent service to every guest. Must be knowledgeable and able to perform in all areas of the restaurant including cashier, bus person and wait staff duties. Responsible for insuring all policies and procedures are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prefer at least one (1) year experience in the restaurant profession, including supervisory experience. Must have the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Must possess leadership and management skills. Must be a motivated team player. Must be able to run a POS system and be able to count back change.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Work inside an assigned restaurant during an entire shift. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and oral cues. Must have the ability to effectively respond to both guest and employee concerns. Must have the ability to maneuver in and around tables when leading customers to be seated. Must be able to tolerate smoke-filled areas and have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to perform all duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Greet guests and seat them in the restaurant on a rotating basis. Handle and solve any concerns or questions in a fair and professional manner from guests and co-workers. Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant and assist where needed. Must be able to exercise authority and make decisions including progressive discipline. Reconcile daily reports and paperwork. Must complete duties as assigned by the Dining Room Manager.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
