Transportation Logistics Specialist (Contract – 3–6 Months, Hybrid)
📍 St. Paul, MN | Hybrid: Onsite Mon/Tues/Thurs (8am–5pm)

We’re looking for a Transportation Logistics Specialist to support truck transportation planning, carrier coordination, and rate management. This role helps ensure efficient, cost-effective movement of products while maintaining strong carrier relationships and accurate freight data.
What You’ll Do
- Support transportation strategy through rate negotiations, capacity planning, and shipment execution.
- Negotiate rates and contract terms with carriers; identify cost-saving opportunities (including backhauls).
- Analyze current transportation processes to identify improvements.
- Manage carrier relationships and monitor performance/KPIs.
- Update TMS, documents, and spreadsheets with current rates, contracts, customer info, and volume data.
- Resolve freight invoice discrepancies and ensure accurate payments.
- Provide market insights and communicate shipping requirements to internal teams and carriers.
- Work independently under general supervision and handle additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in transportation logistics, freight, or carrier management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Excel.
- Willingness to work onsite three days per week and support occasional overtime.
