Job Title: Senior Civil Designer

Location: Kansas City, Missouri (On-site)

Job Summary: We are seeking an expert to lead civil project design efforts across a diverse range of projects. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional quality by ensuring each project meets strict design standards, timelines, and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex civil design projects, including site design, land development, roads, storm drainage systems, water and sanitary sewer utility design, site grading, and facility design.
• Direct drawing production work, perform design layouts and calculations, and ensure clarity and accuracy in documentation.
• Organize and maintain revisions of project drawings and information, integrating schedules, budgets, and project criteria.
• Mentor and train staff members, while ensuring quality review of designs, sketches, and civil design QA/QC processes.
  
  

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or related field with 13 years of related experience; or Associate degree with 14 years of related experience; or 15 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
• Advanced proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Excel for developing deliverables.
• Strong background in civil discipline theory, design calculations, and the ability to operate related design software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary project team environment.
