Job Title: Permit Specialist

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts (On-site)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage and support permitting for complex electric capital projects. Our team is dedicated to driving permitting efficiency, compliance, and building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, guide, and oversee the completion, payment, tracking, and timely approval of permit applications to reduce delays and maintain strong relationships with permitting agencies.
• Collect and organize information for permitting, assist with data gathering, and prepare required assessments, reviews, and reports as needed.
• Act as a main point of contact with agency staff, attending meetings and developing strategies for issue resolution while ensuring permitting requirements are met.
• Monitor changes at the state and district level, communicate relevant updates to stakeholders, and ensure all approved permits are easily accessible across project teams.
  
  

Required

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5 years of experience, preferably in environmental regulation, permitting, construction, government, business, project management, or related field.
• Direct experience working with electric utilities and other energy industry stakeholders; understanding of the utility regulatory environment preferred.
• Technical ability to interpret construction plans, identify work zones and infrastructure, and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
