Job Title: Maintenance Safety Documentation Specialist

Location: Horseheads, New York (On-Site)

Job Summary: We are partnering with a company seeking a detail-oriented professional to support a critical safety and compliance initiative across maintenance operations. This role focuses on updating preventive maintenance documentation, reviewing lockout/tagout procedures, and helping strengthen documentation standards through field verification and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and update preventive maintenance procedures within the CMMS system.
• Verify equipment-specific safety controls through field audits, including energy isolation points and related hazards.
• Revise existing lockout/tagout procedures and create new procedures where documentation gaps are identified.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, EHS, Operations, and technical teams to maintain accurate, compliant records and status updates.
  
  

Required

• Associate degree, technical school certification, or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology or Industrial Maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, heavy industrial, or production environment.
• Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout principles and industrial safety practices, along with the ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams; ability to navigate and update CMMS systems.
• Strong organizational, project management, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience conducting equipment walkdowns and documenting processes preferred.
• Experience with OSHA’s Energy Control Standard, machine safety standards, CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, MP2, or Maintenance Connection, BradyLink360, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, technical writing, document control, and hazardous energy control programs is preferred when applicable.
