Job Title: Data Center Engineer

Location: Sandston, Virginia (Hybrid)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the physical operation and deployment of data center infrastructure. Our team focuses on maintaining secure, resilient, and highly available banking technology environments while ensuring operational excellence and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain server and network technology, including rack and stack, structured copper and fiber cabling, hardware break-fix, and asset management in the data center environment.
• Operate within established change, incident, and access management processes to ensure compliance and security across all data center activities.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams, external vendors, and remote hands staff to support critical data center initiatives and operational projects.
• Utilize standard tooling such as ServiceNow, Jira, CMDB, and DCIM systems for daily operations and documentation.
  
  

Required

• Direct hands-on experience with physical data center operations, including rack-and-stack, structured copper and fiber cabling, hardware break-fix, and asset management.
• Solid understanding of power, cooling, and physical security controls in enterprise data center environments.
• Ability to operate effectively within regulated and process-driven environments, adhering to strict change and security controls.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
